May 2026 – Catch Up on TAAF’s Newsletter
This month, we recognized Stroke Awareness Month by highlighting timely care, blood pressure awareness, stress management, frontline worker appreciation, and community support.
In this issue, we featured Northwestern’s Mobile Stroke Unit, reflections from legacy holder Valerie Arribeno honoring her mother after losing her to a brain aneurysm rupture, the return of TAAF’s in-person support group at UCSF, and Stress Less, Thrive More: A TAAF Toolkit featuring insights from experts in neurology, neuropsychology, psychotherapy, social work, and adaptive yoga.
We also shared Dr. Sepide Kashefiolasl’s piece, Understanding Brain Aneurysms: What We Learn from Children and Why It Matters for All Patients, alongside conversations on high blood pressure awareness and early recognition in brain health care.
